The Planning Office for Urban Affairs (“POUA”), a leading non-profit developer in the Northeast, is a self-sustaining social justice ministry of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston and strives to create vibrant communities with broad economic diversity through the development of high quality affordable and mixed income housing. Since its inception, POUA has created over 2,300 units of affordable and mixed-income housing and has experience developing a wide variety of residential communities, including assisted living and 1000 units of elderly housing. POUA specializes in creating sensitive and diverse communities where people of modest means can live with dignity and respect. This underlying principal is critical to POUA carrying out its work as a social justice ministry and establishes the fundamental approach to all of POUA’s efforts.
